Lisa has been a participant in both our Supported Employment Program and our Community
Rehabilitation Services. She was successful working in a variety of employment settings
including: Wal-Mart, the Hyatt and Radisson Hotels, and O’Charley’s. Due to her disabilities,
Lisa began to experience greater challenges in her physical functioning and decided that she
would like to participate in Community Rehabilitation Services. Lisa has participated in this
program since 2008. Lisa absolutely loves attending the program and she loves to work and be
productive! Lisa is independent-minded and she likes to do things for herself. She has lived in
her own apartment for years with minimal assistance. Lisa’s primary method of communication
is sign language and she has taught many of her peers and staff to use it as well. She has
developed many close relationships over the years at Proudworks.
